As a collective, we provide birth support to our clients… collectively!
Typically, we provide at least 2 longer home prenatal visits, and you get to spend a few hours with each of us. We all stay in touch throughout your pregnancy before and after these home visits, learning more about one another, providing resources and answers to questions. Daniella loves to get folks started thinking about physiology, body work, movement and Spinning Babies. Jessie and Emma love to cover birth preferences, advocacy in the perinatal space, postpartum preparation and mental health support.
We provide continuous labor support, from on-the-phone and video support in early labor, to in-person support throughout active labor, birth and the initial postpartum adjustment. The doula who attends your birth also provides an in-home postpartum visit about a week or two after your baby is born. We debrief, catch up on how you’re doing, provide ongoing infant feeding support and community connections. If your family is interested, we also provide ongoing daytime and overnight postpartum visits beyond the standard birth doula package.
Since the beginnings of our solo-practices, we’ve always held financial accessibility close to our hearts. We would never turn away a family who feels we’re a good fit due to lack of resources. Using an adapted version of Alexis J. Cunningfolk’s iconic green bottles, we provide families a wide price range for this birth doula offering. Most families pay between $1,600 and $2,600. The folks who can afford to pay toward the top end help sustain us in taking low cost families when needed! And yes, we can take MassHealth.
